Bae Doona Teases ‘Sense8’ Fans On Instagram: ‘Have You Guys Heard The News Yet?’

Korean actress Bae Doona is giving "Sense8" fans another reason to smile this week. And she took to Instagram to tease fans about the good news she brings.

On Saturday, Jim Sturgess' ex-girlfriend shared a quirky photo on Instagram showing her with a "Sense8" clapper board. She captioned the snap "Have you guys heard the news yet...?!!!!!!"

Of course, she wasted no time in relaying the news by putting the right hashtags to announce that her Netflix series has been renewed for a second season — "#season2oming," "#sense8," "#happy8thAug" and "#netflix."

Fans of the show and followers of Bae Doona quickly responded with smiling emoticons and a string of "thank you" messages.

Around the same time when Doona shared the good news to her followers, Netflix US broke the same news by posting a video clip of the cast of the show on Twitter and Facebook, Toronto Sun reported.

The special video clip was captioned "Birthdays are just the beginning." The stars of the sci-fi series including Bae Doona, Aml Ameem and Jamie Clayton could be seen playfully singing "Happy Birthday" in the clip, with Bae saying, "We are coming back. Yay! Season 2! See you on Netflix."

The good news comes weeks after series co-creator J. Michael Straczynski expressed his hopes of renewing the series during the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in late July.

At the time, Straczynski said that he was "still awaiting word" about a possible renewal. He also added, "We're cautiously optimistic, but, ultimately, it's Netflix's call," Entertainment Weekly has learned.

"Scence8" is a sci-fi show that chronicles the story of eight strangers who are apparently connected in thought. It was created by Straczynski with the help of writers Lana Wachowski and Andy Wachowski, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Apart from Bae, Ameem and Clayton, according to IMDb "Sense8" also stars Tina Desai, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Freema Agyeman, Daryl Hanna, Terrence Mann and many more.
