Rumors about the release date, design and specs of iPad Mini 4 surfaced following some social media leaks of Apple's newest gadget. OnLeaks, which has a history of leaking products ahead of their release events, leaked pictures of a 3D computer-aided design (CAD) of the successor of iPad Mini 3.
@OnLeaks posted some snaps of the rumored iPad Mini 4 on Twitter, captioned, "In addition to my previous #iPadMini4 leak..."

The video below showing the leaked images of the new gadget ratifies the earlier predictions made by the KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The new iPad will be similar with iPad Air 2, current flagship of Apple for tabs, in terms of dimensions and design.
Based from the leaked images, if they were true, the iPad Mini 4 could be as thin as 0.24 inches, according to Mashable. That's about 6.1 mm, which is contrary to iPad Mini 3's 7.5 mm.
It is also anticipated that the iPad Mini 4 will have a laminated display and anti-reflective coating.
It is also expected to imitate iPad Air 2's 8MP rear camera with 2GB RAM. Some hints about the internal aspects indicated that it would also have an A8 processor and a 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Apple Insider reported.
There are no confirmations yet if Apple will add the Force Touch — a feature that was initially added to Apple Watch — to the iPad Mini 4, although, there are already reports that this will be incorporated with the new iPhones, as per Macworld.
The release date of newest addition to the Mini was not yet confirmed. However, there are predictions that in September during its event, Apple will showcase the trio iPads — iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 3 (with alleged A9 chip) and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
