DC movie "Shazam" was previously declared to come out in 2019, but Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who was cast to play villain Black Adam has revealed in an interview that it will be sooner than expected.
Moviepilot's Andrew Vallante shared insights as to who could portray the character. Some of the names on his list include "The Man from U.N.C.L.E. star Armie Hammer, "X-Men's" Collosus Daniel Cudmore, "Mockingjay" star and brother to Thor's Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth and Kellan Lutz, who played the title role in the 2014 movie "Legends of Hercules."
The movie "Shazam," as per IMDb is a story about Billy Batson who was gifted with the wizard Shazam's power to battle against evil forces. He becomes the holder of Solomon's wisdom, Hercules' strength, Atlas' stamina, Zeus' power, Achilles' courage and Mercury's speed. When Billy utters the magic word, he becomes Captain Marvel.
With the kind of abilities Shazam possesses, here are 5 reasons why the "San Andreas" star fits his villain role perfectly:
1. Dwayne Johnson has the star power.
He has landed on the number 11 spot in the list of highest-paid actors by Forbes. As per The Morning Call, Forbes has labelled Johnson as "the franchise saver" because of his help in revitalizing the "Fast and Furious" franchises. He will be back in "Furious 8"to portray Luke Hobbes in 2017. He has done likewise to the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" franchise by joining "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island." He'll be back to star in "Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon" which will come out in 2016. Not to forget his role in the "G.I. Joe" franchise, which is bound to release a third installment soon.

He will also star opposite Kevin Hart in the comedy "Central Intelligence" and Zac Efron in "Baywatch," a film from Paramount inspired by California lifeguards, a hit TV series from the 90s.

Black Adam has a lot of anger issues which meant he will unleash destruction and magic-fueled madness which could spell BIG trouble to the Justice League or Shazam

5. Dwayne Johnson said Black Adam is in his DNA.
In a report by MTV News, the talented actor said: "I've lived with this character, and this opportunity for almost 10 years now, so it's like, in my DNA! I'm like a little kid, and it's the opportunity to create his journey, but that journey has to start out properly. And starting off properly is him not being a hero. That's got to be earned, so he starts off as a slave. And he's pissed off, and people are going to pay. But eventually down the line he'll become an anti-hero."
What do you think? Is Dwayne Johnson perfect for the role of Black Adam ?
