Writer/director Quentin Tarantino's latest western-inspired movie released its first trailer. "The Hateful Eight" will come to the nearest theaters on December but as early as now fans who love Tarantino's style await its showing.
The Guardian reported that "The Hateful Eight" almost never happened because of the brouhaha over the online leaking of its screenplay. Tarantino almost gave up on the movie after filing a lawsuit against Gawker, the online site that linked to the hacked script. He later withdrew the charges and claimed that he would forget about the project, but he changed his stance and at a live "The Hateful Eight" reading announced that he would pursue filming the western theme flick, after making several revisions to the script.
The Weinstein Company was responsible for the online release of Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" first trailer on Wednesday.
According to Wired, the gist of the movie was that Kurt Russel's John "The Hangman" Ruth grabbed wanted killer Daisy Domergue portrayed by Jennifer Jason Leigh hostage, but was forced to take shelter in a stopover for stagecoach with a few distasteful characters during a snow storm. Throughout the trailer, flashes of the rest of the eight were seen, from Samuel L. Jackson's Major Marquis "The Bounty Hunter" Warren, Michael Madsen's Joe "The Cow Puncher" Gage, Walton Goggins' Chris "The Sheriff" Mannix and Tim Roth's Oswaldo "The Little Man" Mobray. Newcomers Bruce Dern as General Sanford "The Confederate" Smithers and Demian Bichir portrays Bob aka "The Mexican."
"The Hateful Eight" will be seen in 70mm for the first two weeks of showing which would make the movie stand out in the said format.
Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight," took inspiration from TV Westerns such as "The High Chaparral" and "Bonanza," as per The Hollywood Reporter.
The most notable quote from the trailer is, "Move a little strange, you're gonna get a bullet. Not a warning, not a question. A bullet."
