Amid all of the triumphs of Scottish professional tennis player Andy Murray, his wife Kim Sears has always been there to show her support. And this weekend is no different.
On Saturday, Andy went head-to-head with French player and defending champ Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in a match that could secure Murray a spot at the 2015 Rogers Cup semis.
The game was intense but Murray managed to break Tsonga's serve in each set, as per The Guardian, leading him to win the game at 6-4.
Post-victory, Andy is now slated to battle it out with Kei Nishikori, who outplayed Rafael Nadal. This is great news for Murray, who could end up ranking at number two should he emerge triumphant in the finals, according to the BBC.
Interestingly, there is also another favorable news for the tennis player that made headlines recently. Murray and wife Kim Sears are finally expecting their first bundle of joy.
On Aug. 7, the couple happily disclosed that Murray's wife is already pregnant just four months after they exchanged their wedding vows.
E! News has learned that their baby is due in February next year, and it's undeniable that both first-time parents are excited of their first child's arrival.
Speaking of his wife's pregnancy last week, Murray admitted that he is less concerned of the results of the Rogers Cup right now. "I'm not thinking what the impact will have on my career. I'm more concerned about the baby being healthy," he was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.
Andy Murray and wife Kim Sears tied the knot in April in the tennis champ's hometown of Dunblane. The wedding ceremony was held at the 12th century Dunblane Cathedral and was attended by their family and friends.
Murray and Sears dated for eight years before they married. They currently live in Oxford, Surrey, as per The Telegraph.
