The much-loved Jeffersonian couple, Booth and Brennan, will finally return for "Bones" Season 11 this fall. While fans are getting more excited about the upcoming season of the hit crime drama series, some are concerned about the uncertainties that the 11th season will be its last.
In "Bones" Season 11, Booth and Brennan will go back to the lives they had before despite their plans to start a new life elsewhere. As previously reported, the upcoming season will pick up six months after the 10th season finale.
"We will be picking them up as they have been living a life that they have been wanting to live," showrunner Stephen Nathan told The Hollywood Reporter. "From that they'll have to go back to the lives they had before, and clearly they will be different people and different circumstances will allow us to continue in a new life."
Nathan also added that the upcoming season of "Bones" will also be full of surprises and will offer a great deal of conflicts.
In the first two episodes of "Bones" Season 11, David Boreanaz's character, Seeley Booth, goes MIA. Though Booth's disappearance has become a complete mystery, TVLine revealed that it has been finally solved. The series' lead actor exclusively explained that his disappearance was due to a health scare he suffered earlier this summer. That's why his return to the show has been delayed.
In order to accommodate Boreanaz's late start, the series producers decided to include his absence in "Bones" Season 11 plotline thus Booth goes missing. Fortunately, Boreanaz, who suffered a bad antibiotic reaction, has finally returned to work on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
"Nothing matters to me more than Bones, so I was thrilled when the producers came up with a way for me to take a few extra weeks to recover from a personal health issue without delaying production," Boreanaz stated. "I'm happy to say that I'm now feeling great and will be back to work tomorrow, and that our 11th season premiere will broadcast on schedule - with me in it."
Meanwhile, "24" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress Kim Raver will be joining the team as Special Agent Grace Miller, who will be involved in the investigation surrounding Booth's disappearance in the first two episodes of "Bones" Season 11, Inquisitr noted.
Furthermore, fans will be thrilled with the back-to-back crossover episodes between "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" in Season 11, which has been set on Oct. 29. Possible time jumps between the seasons are also reportedly planned.
"Bones" Season 11 returns on FOX on Oct. 1, Thursday.
