Zayn Malik, former One Direction member, and Little Mix girl Perrie Edwards called off their engagement earlier this year. And now Zayn Malik is reported to be smitten with Indian model Neelam Gill.
Neelam, as a rising model star, already appeared in some high-profile events like the Burberry catwalk. Kayne West once invited her to walk for Adidas during New York Fashion Week, and she also joined the ranks of Suki Waterhouse. She once shared to Elle Magazine, "I had glasses and braces and I was not one of the hot girls in school" which made her rising career really unexpected.
Zayn and Neelam firt bumped into each other in a studio in London where Zayn was working on his solo music, while Naughty Boy and Neelam were hanging out with friends Krept and Konan who were also doing a recording. According to a source, after the meet-up, Malik was already smitten with Burberry's first ever Indian model.
After their initial meeting, the two met again in the Asian Awards held in London in April where Malik won "Outstanding Contribution to Music," as per Hollywood Life. At the time, Neelam congratulated Zayn on Twitter saying: "Congratulations to your award tonight @zaynmalik, catch up again soon." However, Malik was still with Edwards at the time.
Flash forward to this week and the model is off to Los Angeles to spend more quality time with Malik, who is renting where he is working on his first solo album. The model even tweeted: "To live and die in LA, it's the place to be...," Gulf News has learned.
The two has yet to confirm their rumored romance, but it seems obvious that action speaks louder than words.
