The Duggars, headed by patriarch Jim Bob and wife Michelle, were caught in the middle of a storm because of their first born son's involvement in a molestation scandal and the recent Ashley Madison data hack which revealed he was cheating on his wife Anna Duggar. Josh Duggar has since admitted and apologized for the said issues.
Recently, their daughter, "19 Kids and Counting" star Jessa Duggar-Seewald seemed to cut off her ties with her family by siding with her husband's father, Michael Seewald in his condemning statements regarding older brother Josh.
Hollywood Life reported that Jessa Duggar-Seewald has officially slammed her brother Josh Duggar not because of him molesting her, sister Jill and five other young girls when he was a teen, but rather for his infidelity with his wife Anna Duggar when it recently came to light that he joined the online cheating site, Ashley Madison.
The 22-year-old pregnant Duggar shared and posted a blog written by her father-in-law on her Facebook account. The excerpt criticized Josh for turning his back on his Christian faith when he cheated on Anna by having carnal relationship with other women. The article read, "He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise. With the name of God on his lips he lived a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil."
Jessa Duggar's action was a clear indication that she's on the Seewald side in this controversy that rocked the Duggars and therefore has turned her back against her family and brother.
Her post further stated, as revealed by Radar Online, Josh Duggar's greatest transgression was a result of his sinful lifestyle kept in secret and by his "hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God. He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise."
Another Duggar, Amy, Josh's cousin, has also reacted about all the hullabaloo that their family was undergoing. She spoke that she totally agreed with what Jessa's father-in-law wrote on his blog. "We're still shocked and furious," Amy remarked.
Meanwhile, Josh Duggar's wife's family appeared to be very angry by the shame and hurt he has brought on to his wife Anna Duggar. Anna's brother ranted about Josh on sister Jessa's page on Facebook a few days ago. A source said that Anna's family was enraged. "They want her and the kids to get away from him. They would really like him to just disappear," as per Perez Hilton.
Anna Duggar herself has made no comment regarding the situation of her husband.
Josh Duggar is currently in a facility called Reformer's Unanimous in Rockford, Illinois to sort out himself.
