In less than a month, the Jeffersonian team will be returning in "Bones" Season 11. And while the previous season left many fans baffled, the upcoming season of the FOX hit series will bring more excitement as interesting developments start to unfold.
In the previous season of "Bones," Booth and Brennan's departure brought an emotional twist for the series. And as the eleventh season premieres this fall, here are 5 reasons why fans should watch the Jeffersonian team's upcoming adventures.
1. Booth and Brennan will return for a very good reason.
Executive producer Stephen Nathan had hinted that they will be bringing back the couple for a very good reason, International Business Times noted. They will reunite with their former colleagues at the Jeffersonian and FBI for a new case.
2. Despite coming back for a good reason in "Bones" Season 11, their return won't happen immediately.
According to showrunner Michael Peterson, the Jeffersonian couple have both moved on with their lives, and though they are needed back at the FBI, their return won't be as soon as fans would hope.
"Not immediately." Peterson told Entertainment Weekly. "As I previously mentioned, the show picks up roughly six months after their exit and they've both moved on with their lives. Booth is teaching at Quantico, so he's left the old life behind."
"Besides just giving birth to a child, Brennan never has trouble filling up her time," he continued. "She's written books, she's done multiple projects. She's more in between than Booth. She's diversified herself into many projects, so she hasn't quite landed on the one."
3. Betty White is "Bones" Season 11 newest squintern!
The 93-year-old veteran actress is reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming season of the series as Dr. Beth Mayer, Latin Post revealed.
4. Booth goes MIA in "Bones" Season 11.
When the FOX drama premieres, it will tackle the events six months after the season 10 finale. According to Design & Trend, Seeley Booth will be missing and FBI agent Grace Miller (Kim Raver) is tasked with the mission of finding Brennan's husband before they rejoin the FBI.
5. As the Jeffersonian couple returns in "Bones" Season 11, emotional consequences will bring some friction, particularly to Cam and Arastoo.
Due to Brennan's FBI departure, Arastoo was put in charge of the lab. As per TVLine, Cam and Arastoo will have troubles of their own and with Booth's disappearance, some friction will be ignited between the two.
"In the six months since Brennan left, Arastoo has pretty much been the main person taking over the lab," co-executive producer Michael Peterson revealed. "With everything [that happens] in the first two episodes, it's going to be a challenge for their relationship."
Meanwhile, tune in on FOX on Oct. 1, Thursday at 8 p.m. as "Bones" Season 11 returns.
