Fans and critics alike are not really happy with "Drizzy" Drake's decision to make a song with the late great Aaliyah. "Their" new track is called "Enough Said." Sure hearing Aaliyah's voice over a track will make anyone who remembers her angelic voice and smoth laid back demeanor start to get goose bumps and feel their hairs on their necks begin to rise.
Hip hop fans and R&B fans alike would assume naturally that DMX, Timbaland and or Missy Elliot, would have been on the track since they actually knew Aaliyah when she was alive and have actually worked with her. R. Kelly was married to Aaliyah and even he had nothing to do with the track.
In an interview with the UK's Tim Westwood, drake said "I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon," while promoting his Club Paradise Tour overseas last April. "Some special things. Great things man. Great things for music, period.
However in a recent interview with radio station Power 105.1 Timbaland said "I know they trying to drop some Aalyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy. The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right."
According to Allhiphop.com's comment section, fans took their outrage to Twitter to let the YMCMB artist know exactly how they felt about his recent track.
In related news, Drake mentioned his efforts to go back to high school and earn his diploma he told the Toronto Now.
"I'm actually spending my summer graduating from high school. That's my main focus after OVO fest. I only have one credit left, and I'm really excited about that."
