Ever since former "Twilight" couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson broke up in 2012, they have been forever linked and even got their names dragged into each other despite their best efforts to move on. While they seemingly have nothing to do with one another anymore, their fans and some celeb watchers still believe that the KStew-RPattz saga is far from over.
Even though Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are having a blast living their separate lives, their previous relationship seemed to have forever linked the exes together. According to Vanity Fair, their scheduled appearances at the Venice Film Festival were plagued by rumors after Pattinson backed out at the last minute.
The reason? The 29-year-old "The Rover" star had a schedule conflict since Pattinson was busy filming "The Lost City of Z" in Ireland. Though the excuse sounded believable, Hollywood Life claimed that FKA Twigs' fiancé just gave a convenient excuse because he was avoiding an awkward run-in with ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
"He didn't want the story to be all about how he and Kristen were nearly bumping into each other," a source told the New York Post's Page Six. "Venice is very small...and there are only so many parties and hotel."
Robert Pattinson's Venice Film Festival absence came after "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey hinted the possibility of an on-screen reunion and a sequel.
"They've each been really smart about the way they've followed up their Twilight careers in that they've not jumped into big studio fare in general," Wyck said, as per Daily Mirror. "They've chosen directors and movies based on the movie, not the size of the movie. We keep in touch with all of them in the way you keep in touch with actors who have busy lives and are half your age. Every half-year we catch up and try to find something else to work on together."
Unfortunately, Robert Pattinson, who is reportedly engaged to FKA Twigs, seemed to be not open to work with his former ladylove Kristen Stewart, following her infidelity tryst with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders while still in a relationship with Rob. But he admitted that he would be open in doing another "Twilight" film.
"Why not?" Pattinson said in an interview with Elle France as to whether he'd be open to doing another film. But when he was asked about Kristen Stewart, he responded, "I preferred not to broach the subject."
So, is there still some serious bad blood between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson?
