Nick Cannon's lupus-like autoimmune disease might have slowed him down, but it does not stop the "America's Got Talent" host from staying positive despite his ongoing battle against the disease. And just recently, he shared to his 1 million Instagram followers that he's eating healthy food as he showed his grocery cart filled with fruits and vegetables.
It seems that Nick Cannon is trying to reverse his lupus diagnosis by purchasing organic fruits and vegetables. On his Instagram account Sunday, Mariah Carey's ex-husband posted a picture of his grocery cart full of food items. It earned several comments from his followers telling the 34-year-old host to go organic.
"I think I need another basket! #Sunday #GroceryShopping," he wrote on Instagram. And as a response to the comments that he needed to eat healthy food, Cannon posted another pic along with a caption saying, "I do got fruits and vegetables! It was just at the bottom! LOL."
Speaking of Nick Cannon's ex Mariah Carey, on the other hand, she is set to make a guest appearance on the hit show "Empire." According to Inquisitr, Carey's pal and the show's co-creator Lee Daniels shared about the character the diva will be playing on the series, adding that the "Butterfly" songstress does not want to play the role as herself.
"I think it would be great to play her but she doesn't want to play her so that's what we're doing," Daniels said. "She's giving us the hard assignment of trying to create a character which we're doing right now. I think she's going to be in our finale, which I'll be directing."
Aside from her "Empire" stint, Mariah Carey has been receiving a lot of media attention because of her newfound billionaire lover, James Packer. While rumors have it that she was expecting a baby, the claims were proven false. But as per News Everyday, the 45-year-old singer is also contemplating to enhance her figure by undergoing breasts reductions and gastric bypass surgery to manage her weight.
Meanwhile, Nick Cannon continues his battle against lupus positively. In previous weeks, he expressed his determination to win over the disease through sharing positive quotes on his Instagram account. And last week, Cannon, who had been the DJ at the season-closing party at Ditch Fridays at Palms Pool on Friday as Las Vegas Sun reported, shared a touching quote along with the hashtag "#blessed" as the caption.
"No matter where the road takes you and no matter how life turns out, never forget you have been to experience the greatest opportunity of all... Life," Cannon's Instagram quote read. While it has been almost two months since Nick Cannon was hospitalized due to complications surrounding his lupus, the "America's Got Talent" host let his Instagram followers know that he is not giving up the fight just yet.
