"Scorpion" Season 2 will be premiering in 5 days and the excitement is high over Team Scorpion's return. And since the previous season left us with some baffling conundrums, can we finally find some answers this season?
After Walter's near-death accident in the previous season, "Scorpion" Season 2 will delve deeper into the developing romance between Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel). There will also be a lot of awkward tension between the timid lovers as they begin to sort out their feelings toward each other.
So, as "Scorpion" 2 returns on Monday, here are 5 interesting things Team Scorpion will tackle this season.
1. Walter will be doing community service?
After jumping off a cliff and endangering himself in the Season 1 finale, Walter will be stuck in doing community service this season to make up for the reckless Ferrari misfortune that almost killed him, Entertainment Weekly noted. While he'll be on his own at first, he'll meet Ray (guest star Kevin Weisman), who will challenge him to be more human and test his patience.
2. Walter and Paige's relationship will be a "stop-and-start" kind of situation.
"Their relationship's definitely going to progress, but it's going to be a stop-and-start kind of situation," executive producer Nicholas Wootton explained. "What we're going to be seeing is how they have to balance this blossoming relationship with the team."
3. "Scorpion" Season 2 will delve deeper into the relationships within the team as well as some intense challenges.
Executive producer Nick Santora hinted that other tricky romances within the team will also be explored.
"They don't thrive without the structure of Scorpion," Santora said. "They need each other. That's where we pick up."
While Wootton added that they challenge themselves in making each episodes bigger, crazier and more heartfelt. Hence, they will level up the challenges for the cast this season. According to Gabel, the Scorpion team will go to "higher altitudes."
"The truth is, we've done stuff that's bigger, that's more complex, so expect to see more intense action sequences," Santora said.
4. Sylvester goes undercover in a prison in "Scorpion" Season 2 Episode 3.
Team Scorpion's human calculator, Sylvester, will finally take the spotlight in the episode titled "Fish Fillet," where he will go undercover in a federal prison after the lives of the three judges are threatened, Carter Matt revealed. Unfortunately, his undercover stint won't go as planned Team Scorpion will have to bail him out.
"In order to save the lives of three judges, Sylvester goes undercover in a federal prison but Team Scorpion must break him out when his life is threatened," the synopsis read, as per Spoilers Guide.
5. A superhero will be making a reappearance in "Scorpion" Season 2.
In a spoiler report by SpoilerTV, Sylvester's favorite superhero will reappear on the fifth episode titled, "Super Fun Guys." Design & Trend added that the character might appear in either miniature or cosplay form.
