Is Jeremy Lin retiring from basketball to pursue a career in rapping? Well, it seems that our favorite Taiwanese-American NBA star has some hidden talents in rapping. In fact, Lin posted a video on his Facebook page showing his latest Taiwan visit with a background music featuring his remarkable rapping abilities.
During a recent trip he made to Taiwan, Jeremy Lin documented his visit and shared it on his Facebook account. According to Focus Taiwan, Lin flaunted his rap skills in the video entitled, "Take on Summer," as he worked with Taiwanese rapper Soft Lipa. Despite his admission that that he could use some help in speaking Mandarin Chinese, he rapped in the language flawlessly.
The video is also Jeremy Lin's way to share his love for basketball. As seen the video, the 26-year-old Charlotte Hornets' point guard demonstrated some basketball moves to young athletes.
"Even though I believe I have a talent for rapping, I announce my retirement from rap music at the same time I released this video, haha," Lin wrote a short caption, accompanying his video.
With Jeremy Lin's statement, Linsanity fans can definitely breathe now as the NBA star won't be retiring from basketball, only from rapping.
It seems that there still a lot to know about Jeremy Lin outside the basketball court. Earlier this month, he showed off his acting skills as he appeared in an Adidas spoof video with Taiwanese actor Vanness Wu, Christian Post revealed.
The Chinese language video posted by Adidas on YouTube with a title, "Undercover Trainers," featured Jeremy Lin and Vaness Wu as disguised personal trainers who were pranking gym goers. (For Lin's hilarious pranks, watch the video below).
Meanwhile, despite his immense popularity on the internet, Jeremy Lin appears to be not popular enough in the United States as he recently ran into a security problem. NBC News reported that the most famous Asian-American NBA player went to the Hornets arena for the first time and had to convince the security that he's a player. Lin, who was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in July after a frustrating season with the Los Angeles Lakers, tweeted the incident.
"Went to the Hornets arena for 1st time and tried convincing security im a player. She said, "what team?!?" lollll #everywhereigo #literally," he tweeted.

Apparently, the female security, who stopped Jeremy Lin at the Time Warner arena gate, was neither informed nor briefed regarding the team's acquisition of Lin from the free agency in July. But Lin was neither mad nor annoyed but found the incident funny and worth sharing to his social media followers.
林書豪決戰夏日RAP最終回雖然我相信我有這方面的才能,但在發表這個影片的同時,我也要宣布從RAP界退休了哈哈!
