Years ago, job posting has been done via newspaper's classified ads. But now, it's different. Advancement in our technology nowadays has changed recruiting and staffing procedures drastically. Procuring talent and skills is now quite advanced. There are already staffing solutions and job portals providers which employers use to better scout talents.
Because of these online job portals, it is also easier for job seekers to hunt new opportunities 24/7 to maintain the competitive advantage over other top candidates. But to do so, Career Rocketeer stated that these seekers have to be in constant access with their professional and social networks. Thus, what they need are apps they can use to make quick connections with potential career stakeholders and new contacts.
Business networking apps include:
1. LinkedIn. According to Heavy, this app easily connects to over 35 million members from 140 different industries. With this, it assures you of the opportunity to stay connected with more people and over 500 companies and recruiters. So, this is not just a great way to get in touch with your colleagues but also an avenue that could make your job searching less stressful.
2. SimplyHired. Back in 2004, the founders of the app realized how challenging and stressful it is to search for a job, so they became inspired and came up with this, a job search engine for job hunters. It has over 5 million jobs listing including thousands of job opportunities from newspaper and bulletin boards.
3. Craigslist. Over the past few years, Craigslist has become an outlet for a lot of aspirants who are looking for full-time or part-time jobs. But on the other hand, be aware when using its services. The app has spam posts so it is crucial to look for red flags on what posts are true or not.
4. Happening. American Express stated that this iPhone networking app lets you get updated with upcoming professional events near your area. You can choose as many events as you like and the app itself will store it directly to your unit's calendar.
As you make efforts to reach your secured employment goals, make sure you do your best. Always be connected to your networks and be positive about it.
