On Sept. 26, Fetty Wap made headlines after he was involved in an appalling motorcycle accident in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. He was hit by a car in the opposite direction as he tried overtaking another while cruising through a residential neighborhood. Now, he is recovering from the injuries he sustained including a broken leg.
Over the weekend, 25-year-old Fetty Wap took to Instagram and updated his fans with his current health condition, saying he broke his leg in three places. According to People, he was taken to a local hospital after the accident on Saturday.
"I appreciate all my fans praying for me, man," Wap said on the video. "I had a little accident, but I'm straight. I mean, I broke my leg in three places, but I'll be alright. I really appreciate you all for real."
Fetty Wap's Instagram video was also captioned, "Appreciate Ya so much for the prayers... they told me don't make a video but I'm still breathing so I gotta let ya no I'll be back."
Unfortunately on Monday, police officers served Fetty Wap with three summons, which include a ticket for driving without license, another for driving without insurance and the third for failing to provide a valid registration card, TMZ noted.
Fetty Wap seems to be a reckless motorcycle driver after his three ticket violations mentioned above. Though his rep and the Paterson Police Department declined to comment on the summons, his rep initially released a statement on Saturday night about Wap's accident.
"Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today," his rep said in a statement, as per Daily Mail. "He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available."
Meanwhile, the woman driving the car involved in the collision with Fetty Wap has not been identified. However, it is known that she was injured and treated at a hospital. The crash had also been under investigation by the police.
