'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Latest Update: Secrets Behind Costumes Of Affleck, Cavill & Gadot’s Characters Uncovered [WATCH]

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" latest update finally reveals the secrets behind Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot's characters. In the DC All Access footage, costume designer Michael Wilkinson uncovered backstories of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman costumes.

Wilkinson understood that these superheroes had been parts of people's lives for the past many years, and before jumping into making their costumes, his team made sure that they did their homework. He had an ample time to work with some illustrators to create these costumes for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" characters.

The designer revealed that Superman's costume had some Kryptonian script entrenched inside the suit, and it was director Zack Snyder who gave the quote that was translated. In the movie, they wanted to portray that Superman's costume was created by using an alien technology in another planet.

Snyder wanted to have a different look for Batman. His strength will reportedly not be coming from his gadgets or armor, rather his raw muscles.

That's why Wilkinson's iteration of Affleck's character looked bigger and bulkier — his silhouette even looks bigger than Cavill's character. Wilkinson also said that they looked on the silhouette of Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" while they are creating the new Batman.

What the team would like to achieve with Wonder Woman's costume is to demonstrate power and strength. As an Amazonian warrior princess, Gadot's character is also expected to poise grace and elegance through her suit.

The costumes were displayed on the DC booth at the recently held New York Comic Con. During the event, LexCorp was also generous enough to give free WiFi to the attendees, the Classical Elite reported.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" action figures and accessories were also unveiled during the NYCC 2015 event, according to the International Business Times.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premieres on March 23, 2016.
