2016 Chevy Camaro Performance Review: This Camaro Is Better Than The Ford Mustang, Find Out Why

The 2016 Chevy Camaro SS is getting rave review and it's not surprising why.

Road and Track reported that Chevrolet claims that the new Camaro SS can go 0 to 60 MPH in just four seconds flat. Some found the claim absurd but since it has been said that this new version is lighter, it's absolutely plausible.

According to reports, the top of the line 2016 Chevy Camaro SS is 223 pounds lighter than the previous model. Ditch the V8 and opt for the V6 engine, it goes up to 294 pounds lighter. But here's the best part, for the first time ever, the Camaro has now an option that offers a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, making this beast 390 pounds lighter than the outgoing model.

With today's ever increasing gas prices and rising popularity of electric vehicles, it's not hard to wrap your mind on a so-called muscle car being light and equipped with a four-cylinder engine.

And speaking of performance, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro can deliver on its claim as the 6.2-liter V8 can give up to 455 horsepower. Take your pick between the six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic and you'll never lose because it can both go 0 to 60 MPH in a nick of time. Of course, it's no surprise that the automatic is point three seconds faster (Manual 4.3 seconds, Automatic 4 seconds flat).

However, the new masterpiece from the Detroit-based car manufacturer is not all-power. According to pundits, the driving impression is also outstanding. Boasting nimble handling and a very responsive braking power, this car is as fun in the corners as much as it can go fast on a straight line.

The signature Camaro design that car lovers have come to love is still there. According to a report by The Verge, General Motors still included the car's known signature such as the dual tailpipe design, angular hood, aggressive face and the inflated wheel wells.

Chevy really did not cut cost in making this car because it also showcases useful and amazing tech features such the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities in all models and finally, the Camaro's improved 7-inchcolor touchscreen system, with an option to upgrade to an 8-inch screen.

The Camaro, along with its rival the Ford Mustang, is known for its accessible pricing and bang-for-your-buck performance. As noted by Car and Driver, the base 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is expected to clock in at $37,295.

If you think the fifth generation Camaro is the best Camaro in recent memory, the new version is here to change your mind.
