Why 'Nashville' Season 4 Episode 7 Is Not Airing This Wednesday On ABC

"Nashville" season 4 took the drama to the next level when its episode 6 aired last week. Unfortunately, eager fans will need to wait until next week for episode 7.

Wait — what?! Why?

"Nashville" season 4, episode 7 is not airing this Wednesday on ABC to give way for the CMA Awards, The News Hub reported. The 49th Annual CMA Awards is dubbed as the biggest night for country music.

The event will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. It will air live tonight on ABC at 8 p.m.

While fans are waiting for another excruciating week, here's a glimpse of what's going to happen in the next episode of "Nashville" season 4, entitled "Can't Get Used to Losing You."

In the video, Juliette Barnes, played by Hayden Panettiere, is asked by a reporter how she feels. She responds with, "My manager just committed suicide, how do you think I feel?"

Sadly, that wasn't the case. Jeff Fordham, played by Oliver Hudson, died because he was trying to save Juliette from jumping off a ledge after the latter swallowed those pills and got herself wasted.

Some fans consider the death of Hudson's character in "Nashville" season 4 as a shocking surprise, but executive producer and showrunner Dee Johnson said they already knew by the end of season 3 that they were heading to this direction.

"His becoming a series regular on Scream Queens limited the amount of episodes in which he could appear on our show," Johnson said during an interview with Deadline.

Juliette lied about the whole suicide thing, and Colt Wheeler, played by Keean Johnson, knew. Colt stepped out of his balcony and saw what happened, according to the International Business Times.

Juliette will be later confronted by Luke Wheeler, played by Will Chase, telling her that someone saw her that night on the roof, with Jeff. Just as when you thought she's going to admit what really happened, Juliette, instead, tells another lie by claiming she was in her room the entire night.

Talking about Luke, TVGuide spoiler for season 4, episode 7 of "Nashville" stated that other than his integrity, his relationship with his son will also be placed in jeopardy due to the recent events.

Meanwhile, Connie Britton's Rayna Jaymes will be clashing with Charles Esten's Deacon Claybourne over his new business venture with an old pal.

"Nashville" season 4, episode 7 airs on Nov. 11 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
