2016 Chevrolet Camaro Packs The Biggest Punch At SEMA In Las Vegas

Chevrolet sure does know how to make a lasting impression. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was recently introduced in Las Vegas at the SEMA, and it absolutely generated the strongest punch in the show.

In a report by the New York Daily News, car pundits can't help but get giddy over the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro concept, which was created with the help of NHRA Camaro Funny Car driver Courtney Force, who went for a slick, custom appearance.

And it seems that Chevrolet and Force succeeded in it and then some.

According to reports, the first version of the car unveiled is set to be auctioned with proceeds going to the United Way. Chevrolet will then build 69 COPO Camaro race cars for 2016, designed for NHRA's Stock and Super Stock Eliminator classes.

The main theme was "less mass and greater overall strength." That was the goal of Chevrolet and after reducing the body mass of the new Camaro by 133 pounds and increasing its structural rigidity by 28 percent, it succeeded on embodying the main theme.

As reported by Car Scoops, apart from the 2016 Camaro, a 5th generation version of the car is also up for grabs. But this is not your usual pony car, the 2010 model Camaro boasts awesome features that will make the fan boy in you drool.

For starters, this particular Chevy is slapped with a unique body kit, and it was reported that this will be the only model with this kind of "after market" add-ons. However, it isn't all looks because it also wallops a great deal of punch.

Equipped with a 6.2-litre turbocharged engine that has an estimated 650 horsepower to give, this is arguably one of the fastest and most powerful Camaros ever built.

It also received some nifty upgrades like the Flowmaster custom exhaust, RAM heavy-duty clutch, Flywheel Force 1.5 dual disc 900 series unit, an Auburn limited slip with 4:10 gears in factory Camaro rear, Toyota Tundra 8 inch front differential with 4:10 gears and Trail Blazer SS transfer-case.

If you want it badly, the previous owner is willing to give it to you for about $40,000.

But back to the new generation Chevrolet masterpieces, Auto News reported that after getting pounded all year via sales by the new Ford Mustang, Chevrolet now has begun delivering their next-gen Camaro last Saturday.

Famous NASCAR driver Danica Patrick even personally handed the keys to the first 2016 Chevrolet Camaro sold at retail in a dealership in Texas.

But apart from that, Chevrolet also plans to launch a convertible version of the car in early 2016.
