Holly Holm beating Ronda Rousey in their recent UFC 193 match caused an uproar a media uproar over the weekend. Many said that she was the underdog in the fight and they were not expecting her to win, but the former professional boxer has proven that anything can happen in the game.

Rousey is undeniably popular, but currently, the spotlight is on Holm. That being said, here are the five things you probably didn't know about the new UFC women's bantamweight champion.

1. She has a supportive dad and a less enthusiastic mom.

Both of Holm's parents are supportive of the kind of sports she has chosen, but her mom is less enthusiastic about it. On the other hand, her father, who is a preacher at Bosque Farms Chruch, reportedly enjoys watching her.

2. She is happily married.

Holm married Jeff Kirkpatrick, who is the current president of AAA Co., on April 27, 2012. Both are reportedly natives and still lives in New Mexico.

The couple has a handful of pets. They have Buster and Frenchie, which are cats, and Stevie, which is a dog.

3. She became a boxer because of Aerobics.

Holm's biography revealed that she saw the kickboxing class when she doing aerobics. Mike Winkeljohn, who happened to be her instructor, also taught the sports.

She made her professional kickboxing debut in 2002. She believes that putting a lot of dedication on training, that's why she reportedly spends two to three hours daily for it.

4. She likes physical sports.

Holm's hobbies are snowboarding and hiking. Before becoming a boxer, she played soccer and tried gymnastics, swimming and diving.

5. Her fights last at least two rounds.

Contrary to Rousey, who is known to finish her opponent in just one round, Holm's MMA fight history showed her fights last between two to five rounds. Information from Sherdog.com also revealed that the method of most of her KOs and TKOs was kicks.

Rousey is a dominant fighter, but Holm had a different strategy. According to the Guardian, the 34-year-old athlete's calmness proved to be the antidote for Rowdy's aggressive approach.

So what's next?

Everybody wants a Holm-Rousey rematch, and it will likely happen. Apparently, that is something the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion agrees.

"I think a rematch makes sense for sure," she said, Yahoo Sports reported. "With a champion like Ronda - who has gone out of her way, above and beyond, to do great things — absolutely she deserves a rematch."
