The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is about to be released and more and more details are surfacing.
As reported by the iDigital Times, there are rumors circulating that the second generation Xiaomi tablet will feature a 7.9-inch QXGA resolution display with a 2.24GHz Intel Atom x5 chip processor. It will also have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The tablet will run on an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but there have also been rumors that the Mi Pad could dual boot the Windows 10 as an operating system.
Tech Times described the Mi Pad 2 as having a clean design line and a metallic body. The power and volume buttons are located on the right-hand side of the device and a rear camera located in the upper right corner was also shown on the teaser. However, the camera features no flash.
As of now, an official pricing for the tablet has not yet been unveiled.
But apart from the tablets, Xiaomi also confirmed that it will also unveil a new line-up of smartphones. According to reports, it would happen at the Beijing National Convention Center and will feature the announcement of the company's newest flagship phone, the Mi 5.
Just recently, the Mi 5, codenamed "Gemini," was spotted to carry high-end features such as a 64-bit quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM while running in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Mi 5 will also have a 5.2-inch QHD screen, 16 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, and USB Type-C connector, fingerprint scanner, 3,030 mAh battery Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB RAM and 16/64 GB of internal storage.
In a related note by Android Authority, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will also be unveiled together with the Redmi Note 2 Pro as the Chinese-tech company teased an image of the device, showing off the back and its integrated fingerprint scanner.
In addition to that, it will have a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera and a 3,060 mAh battery.
Xiaomi is now one of the fastest rising electronics and gadget manufacturers in the world, ever since its start way back 2011.
Although the company was already manufacturing smartphones since its early years, it was not until the Xiaomi Mi4i that the company released outside of its homeland China.
