Samsung announced that it's planning to refresh the Galaxy A line and it's starting with the Samsung Galaxy A5.
According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy A5's screen resolution was leaked, and as noted, it will have the same number of pixels as its predecessor with 720p resolution. In addition, rumors are spreading that it will have a screen size of either 5 or 5.2 inches.
In a similar note by Geeky Gadgets, it is also rumored that the phone will have an Exynos 7 eight-core 1.8GHz processor and a Mali T72 graphics processor. It will also come with 16GB of storage space and 2GB of RAM.
What's more? For a low to mid-tier device, the Samsung Galaxy A5 will get high quality dual cameras. Take clearer and sharper photos and videos with its 13-megapixel rear camera, while taking a selfie and doing video calls will be easy with the 5-megapixel front camera.
It's not a secret that the biggest Korean tech company makes quality devices, so even though the A5 is hardly its flagship, don't expect anything less with the smartphone.
The phone is expected to come with an Android "Lollipop" operating system and will feature NFC, WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity. Also, there's a big chance that the Samsung Galaxy A5 will even come with a fingerprint scanner.
But it's not only the A5 that you should look out for, International Business Times reported that the Samsung Galaxy A7 is also coming. The phone will have a 5.5-inch full HD display and 3GB of RAM. In addition, rumors indicated that it will feature two CPU choices with the Snapdragon 615 or the Exynos 7580 SoC.
But wait, there's more. Another report is circling the Interwebs that the A3 is also coming. It will have a 4.70-inch HD screen, Exynos 7580 chip, 1.5GB of Ram and a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front camera.
However, the real crowning glory of the Samsung A line is the Galaxy A9, which will have 5.5-inch full HD screen, a Snapdragon 620 SoC and 3GB of RAM. It will also have 32GB of internal storage with the option to upgrade to 128GB via microSD card.
Its rear camera will be able to shoot 4K resolution videos and the LTE modem will allow users to perform downloads with a speed as fast as 300 Mbps.
Almost every Samsung Galaxy A Series phone is expected to arrive sometime in 2015, with the exception of the A9 that is rumored to arrive this Dec. 1 of 2015.
