The latest GoPro camera, the GoPro Hero 5, is rumored to have 8K resolution, the sharpest there has been yet.
According to Day Herald, the company that manufactures the world's sports-oriented camera remains tight-lipped regarding the details about the upcoming product. GoPro Inc. has not made any official statements about the release date of the GoPro Hero 5, but it is being speculated that the device will hit the market in early 2016.
Venture Capital Post noted that there were previous reports that said that the camera was scheduled to be released last October, but the company decided to postpone its release so that it could buy more time to further work and polish the Hero5.
According to a report from Ecumenical News, the delay costed dearly to GoPro Inc. which affected the price of its stocks.
The product delay disappointed many fans who were looking to get the GoPro Hero 5 as presents for this upcoming holiday season.
That being said, the upcoming gadget is reported to be a better gadget in every way compared to its predecessor. It will come with an enhanced battery life, which when fully charged, will enable the camera to provide two hours of continuous video recording.
In addition to that, the waterproofing feature of the camera was further improved and it can now perform seamlessly under water up to a depth of 60m.
Moreover, it will also have a greater upload speed than the GoPro Hero4 as the Bluetooth feature of the device has also been given a significant upgrade.
But, arguably, its most distinguishing feature is it will come with an even better resolution than previous GoPros. It was reported that the camera will have the capability to capture full high definition photos and videos while also sporting an 8K HD resolution.
For a product that, as of now, has yet to have official specifications from GoPro Inc., it sure does have a lot going on in the rumor mill.
There are rumors saying it will come with a powerful A10 chip, making it perform faster than ever. Also, there are also speculations swirling around the web that say the GoPro Hero5 will also be smaller in size and lighter in weight than its predecessors, resulting in a more sleek appearance.
It will weigh about 40 percent less and appear 50 percent less bulky than the GoPro Hero4, making it easier to hold and mount on helmets.
However, these are all just rumors and speculations so it's better to take this information with a grain of salt.
