It seems that Josh Duggar is yet to face another challenge in his life following his sexual addiction and sexual assault controversy and that is to save his crumbling marriage with wife Anna Duggar. While he is planning for a renewal of vows and hoping for another baby, Anna is reportedly contemplating a divorce.
As of late, Josh and Anna Duggar are still together despite the challenges in their relationship brought by his sexual misconduct scandal and sexual addiction. According to Inquisitr, Anna is at home alone with their children without getting any help from her husband, who's currently at a Christian rehab facility. But while Josh is hoping for a renewal of vows when he gets out of rehab, Anna's thoughts are awash in separation plans.
A source close to Josh and Anna Duggar also claimed that Anna is not even sure if she still wants to stay with her husband. When the sex addiction and assault scandal broke out, Anna discovered that Josh cheated on her with more than one person even while she was pregnant with their fourth child. And though she wasn't happy about it, she chose to stay with Josh because of her children and to save their family. But now, she is considering divorce but doesn't know what to do.
"The holidays were always a really special time for Josh and Anna, but not anymore," a source said, as per In Touch Weekly. "It's been really stressful for Anna because her kids want their daddy home for the holidays and she's a full-time single parent. She is getting support from the Duggar family in that they help watch the kids, but she's still under a ton of pressure. She's contemplating divorce, but now Josh wants them to renew their wedding vows in front of both of their families."
Josh Duggar, the disgraced "19 Kids and Counting" star reportedly wanted to make amends with his wife Anna and prove he has changes his ways by recommitting to their marriage with a vow renewal.
"He wants to have an elaborate ceremony as soon as he gets out of rehab and make it a really special occasion for Anna," an insider said. But Hollywood Life reported that Josh Duggar knew his wife has started considering filing for divorce. And while Josh's dad, Jim Bob, offered the couple a new house to help save their marriage, it didn't seem to work out just like Josh's suggestion to have another baby.
"He is not convinced she will stay if he can persuade her....to have another child together," the source added. Unfortunately, Anna Duggar has no desire to get pregnant again. And all of Josh's efforts including the renewal of vows, may all be for nothing.
In other news, Josh Duggar's wife Anna may appear in the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" to support the financial needs of their four children. In a sneak peek for the new show, Anna finally broke her silence and opened up about how she felt when she learned of Josh's cheating ways and other scandals, the International Design Times noted. Meanwhile, the new reality show premiere on Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. on TLC.
