"Arrow's" Stephen Amell declared a bold statement and said that if Batman and his Green Arrow were in a fight, he would beat the caped crusader.
As reported by Comic Book, during an appearance at a recent Heroes & Villains Fan Fest, the actor addressed the theoretical situation if Batman's arch-nemesis, The Joker, could guest on the show that led to the question on who would win if he and Batman fight.
Ben Affleck, the current actor portraying Batman, seems like the one the fans are pertaining to even though Amell did not dropped names directly.
In a similar report by HitFix, the actor discussed the proposed match-up and said, "Me. What do you want me to say? Well, Batman's more experienced and his costumes cooler, and Arrow's just a ripoff, so Batman would win for sure."
But he immediately took it back and said, "No, I would win, absolutely."
However, his answer apparently caused an uproar among Batman fans, including one of his relatives. In a funny Facebook exchange, Stephen's cousin, Robbie Amell, known for portraying one-half of Firestorm on "The Flash," went on to Facebook to address him.
Robbie said, "Where do you get off saying you could beat Batman?! I thought we were family." But the "Arrow" star just replied in a jest and said, "What the hell am I supposed to say Uncle Bob? What if someone asked you if Firestorm could beat Batman?!??"
He further addressed it in a hilarious Facebook video and elaborated his response to his cousin. He said, "See this is my point. What would happen if you were at a Q&A and a little kid in a Firestorm costume said to you, 'Who would win in a fight, Ronnie or Bruce Wayne?'"
He went on to say, "You know what you would say. Actually, you might say Batman, because you've had an unhealthy obsession with Batman for a long time."
If that funny-yet-adorable exchange with his cousin left you grinning with joy, wait till you see his adorable Facebook post.
As reported by Cinema Blend, it seems that even in an early age, the actor was destined to be the superhero archer as he posted a photo of him wearing swimming shorts and handling a bow and arrow.
