"Kingdom Hearts 3" is about to prove that the third time is really the charm.
If you loved the first "Kingdom Hearts" and the "Kingdom Hearts 2," then there's no reason for you to hate this upcoming sequel because according to reports, it will see the return of your beloved characters.
The last time we saw the game was way back during the PlayStation 2 era. Although so-called "mini" sequels and remasterings appear here and there, this is the first time since "Kingdom Hearts 2" that a main game in the series is being released.
As reported by Cross Map, the game will use the Unreal Engine 4. Square Enix, the game's developer, have always been known as one of the leading video game publishers in terms of graphics so it's not a surprise that when the game arrives, the graphics will be stunning.
In a related report by Design & Trend, the game's main villain Xenahort, will play a big role in the upcoming storyline. Among the reported story is the origin of the man's keyblade.
And of course, expect Sora and the gang's return for the franchise' reported final instalment.
Since this is supposedly the final chapter of the game, expect it to end with a bang and ripe with interesting storyline and new characters.
It has been 10 years since the 2nd game arrived on our consoles. And also since then, Disney have acquired quite a lot of franchises in that span including Marvel and "Star Wars."
So what does that imply? It simple means that there is a great possibility that players will witness the debut of Marvel and "Star Wars" characters in the game.
One interesting situation is how Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy will interact with the Avengers. Just imagine the powerful team-up with the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor helping you battle the Heartless.
In addition, can you even imagine Sora ditching his signature keyblade in favor of the light saber courtesy of Obi Wan Kenobi?
The possibilities are simply endless, which makes the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3" all the more exciting. If the prospect of playing with the Avengers and the Jedis got you excited, you have to wait a little bit more because Times of India noted that the game will likely be released towards the end of 2016 or even early 2017.
However, you can actually pre-order the game as early as now. "Kingdom Hearts 3" is already on sale at Amazon for only $59.96 and like most pre-orders, it will likely include a handful of freebies or additional features once the game arrives.
For now, watch the game's trailer below.
