Blake Shelton is definitely a sad boyfriend as Gwen Stefani's exit in "The Voice" looms. In a recent interview with Extra, the 39-year-old country crooner opened up about his feelings as the No Doubt songstress leaves the show and will be replaced by Christina Aguilera as one of the coaches for the show's next season.
Along with fellow coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and of course ladylove Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton was put on a hot seat when he said he don't want Stefani to leave the show. According to Daily Mail, the 46-year-old "Used to Love You" hitmaker will be leaving "The Voice" after next week's live Season 9 finale to focus on her music, with Aguilera rejoining the coaches' lineup for Season 10.
"I don't want Gwen to not be on the show - why can't we have a fifth coach?" Blake asked, adding that he's willing to "vote for that."
Gwen Stefani, on the other hand, couldn't make up her mind when asked who among her fellow coaches she will miss the most.
"I wonder..." she said coyly. "It's the combination. It's the chemistry. I'm already so devastated that I think I only have like three more looks to do, three more outfits. And that I'm not going to be around these guys. It's hurting me."
Blake Shelton's current squeeze Gwen Stefani also revealed she has quite a hectic schedule after the finale of "The Voice" Season 9.
"What am I gonna do? I'm probably going to put out my record, and do some shows," Stefani said, hinting the possibility of a tour. "I have not performed on New Year's Eve for a long time. It's going to be awesome."
Aside from Blake Shelton, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine also revealed that he will also miss Gwen Stefani, revealing the most memorable part of the season.
"I think Gwen has been a stand-out moment. Look at her!" Levine said, as per Us Weekly. "I think every show, she's been a stand-out moment. We look the same. Even Pharrell's got an eclectic style but somehow, when Gwen walks in the room, we all look like we've been wearing the same outfit for 10 years."
Meanwhile, as couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will miss each other after "The Voice" Season 9 finale, E! News hinted they're taking their relationship to the next level. And aside from their PDA-filled moments on the show, they were also caught kissing while on a double date with friends in Los Angeles.
Moreover, Gwen Stefani's Instagram post on Wednesday has also sparked speculations that she and Blake Shelton are getting serious on their relationship. While the caption of Stefani's post was just a "good morning" greeting, it was the camouflage-print baseball cap that's almost identical to Shelton that caught the attention of many showbiz insiders.
Despite their previous failed marriages with exes Miranda Lambert, 32, and Gavin Rossdale, 50, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who confirmed they're dating in November, are "extremely happy" together.
