"Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2" just released a new trailer, which highlights the game's new solo-play features, including the "Solo Ops" game mode that lets you swap between characters.
During the first time PopCap Vancouver announced the game, it highlighted the multiplayer features included in the sequel.
However in this new trailer, "Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2" chose to showcase the game's capabilities as a single player game.
According to Gematsu, the game also added new customization options in "Crazy Settings."
Retaining the same form factor of its predecessor, "Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2" again takes place across a 3D battlefield setup, but this time, you can hot-swap between all of your AI-controlled allies in the single player mode.
We Got This Covered reported that the latest creations of Electronic Arts and Pop Cap have highlighted solo play this time. In addition, players also have the option to "combo the characters' abilities in creative ways."
In a statement by EA, "Experience the game on your own terms in Solo Ops with the ability to select a full squad of four characters and swap between them at any point during a match."
EA noted that players can use the characters' individual abilities and unique strengths, designed to conquer an objective, deal extra damage and even support the team to win the battle.
And as a bonus, players can also earn experience for each individual character for as long as they control them.
The "Crazy Settings" on the other hand lets players turn their game into a rich and insane experience either in "Solo Play" or private and local matches, which also allows the user to modify the game with different options.
Among the options allowed in the game is "Infini-Ammo" where characters have obviously infinite ammo without the risk of overheating.
In addition to that, it also have "Speed Boost Craziness" where characters move fast, "Low Gravity" where characters float while in the game and "Super Crazy Knock-back" Mode, in which characters get knocked back really far.
Moreover, Gaming-Age noted that whether you strategically pick four characters to play in a specific map or customize your favorites before heading into battle, the game will allow you full freedom in the unique Solo Play experience.
"Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2" is set to make its debut on Feb. 23 and Feb. 25 in North America and Europe respectively.
The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
