"Clash of Clans'" Town Hall 11 updates caused quite some uproar, as gamers complained about the game's new tweaks.
According to Design & Trend, the Town Hall 11 spawned an outrage in the mobile gaming community because of its gameplay tweaks. In fact, the situation became so disastrous for the developers at Supercell that it's garnered the attention of its home country's biggest news outlets.
It was noted that the developers are reported to be in hot water with their dedicated fan base.
The "Clash of Clans" Town Hall 11 personal break timer is among update's most maligned feature. According to the report, the change makes the game's most active players feel punished for their enthusiasm. Simply put, the three-hour ceiling time can be accrued by too many factors and its hard to manage due to unpredictable notification messages.
Moreover, even those that log on to "Clash of Clans" quickly throughout the day are sometimes barred when important circumstances arise.
According to Christian Today, a Reddit thread detailing the changes made in the game have gain spread, with one user even saying that "playing is no longer enjoyable."
Another user commented that, "Now I feel like I need to watch my play time, otherwise big bad Supercell is going to boot me," he added, "It's very stupid and actually forces me to play less than I did before the update," fumed another.
The report also brings up changes to resource farming as well. In addition, it was revealed that shields would no longer be rewarded when town halls are destroyed. This old policy led to strategies that involve sacrificing town halls for the sake of protection and additional resource accruing time.
In the update, the town hall is now an epicenter for large collections of loot and instead of getting a shield for destroying one, they are granted on the basis of destroying a percentage of an opposing clan's settlement, thereby making earning shields difficult.
It's all bad news for the game as "Clash of Clans" is garnering bad reviews on Apple's App Store and Google Play left and right.
Fans of the game proposed a strike on purchasing gems while others even demanded a refund for the cash they've put into the free-to-play title.
However, Touch Arcade reported that Supercell has put up an "Everything You Need To Know" webpage that lists in detail what the Town Hall 11 has done, which includes a "Bit Sized Guide" of the update.
Supercell better fix this now because as they say, "Hell Hath No Fury, Like A Gamer Scorned."
