Mark Salling, who played Noah "Puck" Puckerman in the Fox's hit musical series, Glee, was arrested on child pornography charges on Tuesday.
The 33 year Glee actor who cheated on his best friend Finn Hudson on the series and eventually had a baby with Finn's girlfriend was taken into custody after LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force obtained a warrant arrest.
Police officers raided his home in Sunland, CA where he was then taken into a Los Angeles jail for questioning. But authorities refused to release any details about his arrest. But TMZ reported sources confirmed to them that officers discovered a "thousand" pictures of "child sexual exploitation" on the actor's computer. The captured images were said to be children "younger than 15 and 16 year olds."
The actor's bail was reportedly set to $20,000, according to The Washington Post.
Salling made his first TV appearance in 1999, in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. He got his big break after he auditioned for the Glee series, Mark joined the cast in 2009. He was a regular cast for four seasons and appeared on the series finale this spring.
He was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Breakout Star Male in 2010 for his portrayal as Puck. In 2011, Salling was nominated for Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Scene Stealer Male.
In 2013, fans were shocked after his ex- girlfriend, Roxanne Gorzela sued him for "sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence," as per PEOPLE. She accused him of forcing her to have unprotected sex in 2011.
Gorzela also alleged to the court that she caught Salling in bed with another woman. She claimed they had an argument that escalated to physical abuse, causing her to hit her head on the ground. The case was later dropped after Salling reportedly agreed to pay Gorzela $2.7 million.
