PSN Down! PlayStation Network Fails, Sony Confirms Service Is 'Experiencing Issues’ for First Time in 2016

Are you half-way through your PlayStation online multiplayer game when suddenly there's silence? Or have you been trying to restart your internet connection several times but you still can't connect to Sony's online store? You can thank Sony "experiencing issues" for that.

Sony, a company with a network that powers all of the popular console's online features which also includes their online store, online games and connectivity, and videos, recently acknowledged that they are "experiencing issues."

It looks like that it's not only the global stock market is experiencing pain points, Sony's start to the year began with a strain to their PlayStation Network which holds the company's online connectivities.

The network is necessary for online gamers to connect which also includes the console's videos and store features. Sony's only comment is that the network is "experiencing issues" and the problem has affected all major services. The company's "Network Service Status" page only revealed that the problem is not contained to a specific platform. The issue has affected all PlayStation platforms including PS3 and PS4, plus their online web services.

The company's latest comment on the issue is that their "engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."

If you're trying to get online now, you may find it difficult and problematic to connect. However, this is not the first time the company has experienced technical issues. PlayStation Network also hit a low point during the holidays which affected online user connectivity during Christmas Day.

Is this online bug in the network a precursor to the network's capabilities for the next few months of 2016? Online posts suggested that it could be a scheduled maintenance as this problem has affected PS users world wide, as posted online. Here's hoping you were able to save your game! Maybe it's time to take a walk outside and get some fresh air. :)
