The exchange started with the reporter asking Lawrence how she sees herself for the Oscars night while looking at his phone, to which the 25-year-old actress responded with the statemet: "You can't live your whole life behind your phone, bro." The reporter got a little bit confused with Lawrence's words and had her retorting with: "You just can't do that. You gotta live in the now, you know?"
The reporter then apologized, even laughing at the actress' dry humor, and attempted to repeat his question once more about how she sees herself for the 'Oscar night'. Lawrence then interrupted him, saying that if inly he put his phone down, he would know that they're at the Golden Globes and not the Oscar's.
What have been circulating around the web is only half of the interaction. The full video shows how the journalist was finally able to ask Lawrence how working with Édgar Ramírez was which Lawrence promptly answers. "Working with Édgar was wonderful. He is so sweet. He's great, a terrific actor. I mean, doing scenes with him is phenomenal. He really helped me with Spanish. All of it's gone now. But I loved working with Édgar. When we had our reading together, you know, we read with so many amazing actors, and the moment Èdgar left, we were like, 'That's the one. There he is'," Lawrence said.
