The highly anticipated movie, "Deadpool," came out with a bang this month and it was a huge hit. Is "Deadpool 2" already in the works?
SPOILER ALERT!
As Marvel is known for making teasing strips at the end of each of their movies, viewers faithfully awaited "Deadpool's" teaser. True enough, there was and it was teased that a sequel may be coming and it will have "X-Men's" Cable in it - if and when they can find someone to fill the role.
The sequel was reported before the premiere of the movie itself but 20th Century Fox wasn't sure the first one will pay off. And since it did become the blockbuster hit everyone was hoping for it to become - with $3 million to its name so far, a sequel is most likely to happen.
Currently, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are already discussing the second movive. Hopefully, it won't take them seven years for it to happen.
The whole movie was littered with humorous punches about the making of the film with Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, narrating the character's background story as if it was a documentary. Even talking about himself in the third-person. Reynold talks about how he urged Hugh Jackman to push for the film production as well as making jabs at the studio not being able to afford high profiled X-Men Characters.
So if Cable is entering the picture, what is his role? Screenwriter Reese explained that if Cable and Deadpool will team up then it will most likely happen in Deadpool's world which means that there might not be a planetary or time-traveling setting. He goes on to add that it's going to be expensive if they go out of Deadpool's dark environment.
