When Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend decided to choose the gender of their baby, they did not expect that Twitter will lash out at her for her decision.
Spike's "Lip Sync Battle" commentator Chrissy Teigen recently revealed that she had chosen the gender of her baby to People. "Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo," the busty model explained. She further added that she was excited that her husband John Legend would be the best dad to a beautiful baby girl.
She probably expected that people will react positively to the news since she previously confessed that she had problems having children.Teigen and "America's Next Top Model" host Tyra Banks once discussed about how the world is expecting them to have kids by now, and how difficult it was to have kids at their age. Tyra Banks later on announced to the world that she had a beatiful baby born through surrogacy.
What Legend's wife didn't expect is the recent Twitter commotion that lashed out at her for choosing their baby's gender. Online critics were quick to throw shots at her decision, and the bubbly commentator was also quick to respond with a sense of humor. "I also picked the embryo with a taste for bacon, a knack for magic and size 7 feet so she can always find shoes," was her subtle defensive tweet.
But that didn't stop the lashes from coming. Teigen began to get upset saying that there are better things to be mad at. However, she eventually calmed down four hours later and addressed the social media issue.
She clarified that she made the mistake of thinking that people understand the process of her choosing the gender of the baby. She explained that she did not create a little girl. She had multiple embryos that had both genders but she decided to put in the female embryo first. She also clarified that they didn't throw away the other embryos.
She eventually ended the thread with positivity and most likely looking forward to having her future baby girl.
