It has been 10 years since "High School Musical" has graced the screens of Disney Channel and now it's coming back for another movie.
It started out as a movie franchise with its first two installments on the TV screen and then transitioned to the wide screen by the third installment. After all this time, no one has imagined that the beloved Disney Channel franchise will come back, but what will the fourth chapter bring to the already-grown up fans?
The fourth movie will continue the story of East High and will bring forward the newest company of Wildcats while competing with the West High Knights. Jeffrey Hornaday is set to direct the movie and Jason La Padura along with Natalie Hart and Kendra Patternson are filling up the cast roster.
Will "High School Musical 4" still hold the song and dance choreography it once had? According to Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, "High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA. It embodies all that we stand for."
To make sure that the fourth movie still has its "High School Musical" brand, Dan Berendsen and Peter Barsocchini (who screenwrote the first three musicals) are already enlisted to pen the next movie. Maybe it will rekindle some relationships or fire up new ones. Reports did mention that a new set of teens will be introduced.
Do you think the old cast and crew will come back in their Wildcats uniform? What do you think they've been doing after high school? Could Zac Efron be there too?
