Game players are definitely excited as details for the first of "Star Wars: Battlefront's Outer Rim" DLC have been recently released. As a matter of fact, Electronics Art (EA) and DICE have revealed a few more details about the game's downloadable content pack coming this month.
The "Outer Rim" pack is one of the four major content packs planned for the "Star Wars" Battlefront" season pass. It is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and it can also be purchase individually.
So, here are 5 interesting details game players should know about "Battlefront's" $49.99 season pass add-on, "Outer Rim."
1. "Star Wars: Battlefront" New Locations
Players will get to explore new locations to fight including manufacturing plants on the planet Sullust and Jabba the Hutt's Tattooine palace that comprises the gangter's throne room as well as sail barge garage, Polygon noted.
2. New Gameplay Mode
In addition to the new locations, "Stars Wars: Battlefront's" Outer Rim DLC will also feature a new gameplay mode called, "Extraction." According to IGN News, Extraction is a new CTF-like mode, where the Rebels have to fight to deliver a resource shipment to their transport before time runs out. Unfortunately, the Empire team will try their best efforts to stop making the delivery successful to win.
3. New Playable Hero Characters
There are two new hero characters that are coming to "Star Wars: Battlefront" with "Outer Rim" add-on. Mashable revealed that Greedo and Nien Nunb will coming into the game. However, their combat capabilities remain unknown.
4. New Weapons and New Cards
Game players will get access to new weapons including the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol. New cards are also available with "Outer Rim," these are the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards, as per Gamespot.
5. "Star Wars: Battlefront Outer Rim" DLC Release Date
A release date has not been announced for "Star Wars Battlefront's" "Outer Rim" DLC but EA confirmed it will fall this March. "Bespin," on the other hand, will be released in the summer, while the "Death Star" content pack in fall. And the fourth but untitled DLC will be launched in 2017, Daily Express reported.
