Beyonce's Feb. 3 performance may surpass the record 112.6 million viewers that Madonna brought last year, said Brad Adgate, director of research at New York-based advertising company Horizon Media. The past two Super Bowls averaged more than 111 million viewers over four hours, according to data from Nielsen.
2002 was the most recent Super Bowl that New Orleans hosted. The San Francisco 49ers won Super Bowl XXIV in New Orleans in 1990.
