Henry Cavill has definitely become one of the fast-rising stars in Hollywood. However, the 32-year-old British actor recently made a shocking confession and revealed the reason why he ventured into acting.
As the premiere of his movie, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," looms, Henry Cavill unashamedly confessed that he's into acting because of money. While he admitted that his response will be "frowned upon," he explained that the reason why he loves making money is because he wanted to enjoy life, People noted.
"I'm slightly wary of saying this, because it can be frowned upon, certainly by members of my community and people outside my community," Cavill told Man of the World magazine. "But I'm not just doing this for the art. The money's fantastic and that's something which I deem - and again, it is frowned upon - very important."
While his statement might be understood by some, Henry Cavill emphasized that he does not take life for granted in spite of living a lavish lifestyle, Fox News revealed. As a matter of fact, he's not only spending his fortune on himself but also enjoys spending it to his friends and family.
"You've got to enjoy life! I mean, you've got to," he added. "When I'm making money I'm spending it on nice stuff, whether that be lavish holidays for me and my friends or just seeing something and going in a shop and saying, 'Yeah, I want that for the house,' I'm buying it. Spending money on my friends, buying dinner for everyone, drinks for everyone, it's a nice place to be, and I like people to feel cared for."
Aside from spending his fortune on family and friends, Henry Cavill also shamelessly admitted that being in Hollywood got huge benefits. According to Variety, Cavill is loving the money because he can afford to travel in first class.
"People will be calling me a c-k as they're reading this, but travel's great as long as you're going first class..." he said. "I'm not going to ever pretend to be coy about that. I love it."
Despite his admission of loving the cash that comes with acting, Henry Cavill is also giving back. In 2014, he launched the Cavill Conservation to help raise funds for Durell Wildlife Conservation Trust, an organization that aims to save species from extinction.
In addition, Henry Cavill is also serving as a spokesperson for the group, Us Weekly has learned. Meanwhile, his upcoming film, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to premiere on Mar. 25.
