Disgraced "19 Kids And Counting" star Josh Duggar is reportedly back home in Arkansas with his family. His return came after he sought treatment in a faith-based rehabilitation center in Rockford, Illinois following the sexual molestation, pornography addiction and infidelity scandal that tarnished the Duggar family name last year.
Since Josh Duggar has finally reunited with his family, his parents Jim Bob and Michelle have released an official statement through a blog post. According to Entertainment Tonight, the Duggars revealed that Josh will "continue professional counseling" despite being out of rehab.
"Josh has completed his residential rehabilitation program," the Duggar family's statement read. "We are so thankful for everyone who worked with Josh in this program. It was a crucial first step in recovery and healing for Josh."
"Josh has now returned to Arkansas, where he will continue professional counseling and focus on rebuilding relationships with his family," they added. "We look to God for help and guidance and place all of our trust in Him. We are forever grateful for the love and prayers offered by so many and hope you will continue to pray in the days ahead."
In spite of the Duggars' positive statement, Daily Mail revealed noted that Josh's other siblings will still have a hard time in accepting and dealing with their brother's indiscretions. In fact, the older Duggar children recently admitted that though they have already forgiven their brother, they still have to build up the same level of trust they once shared with him.
"I definitely have forgiven Josh. It is a process, though, that you have to work through in your heart," Jessa Duggar-Seewald said, as per People. "And trust is not quickly rebuilt. It is something that takes a while. We love him very much, though, and we are very hopeful for the future."
Meanwhile, the Duggars are putting their pasts all behind them now as they are set to return on television on Mar. 15 for the first season premiere of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On." The family's new show came after the cancellation of "19 Kids and Counting" on TLC, International Business Times reported.
Since Josh Duggar is out of rehab, will he appear on his sisters' new show? Stay tune on TLC on Tuesday, Mar. 15 at 9 p.m. and find out.
