Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx keeping things under the radar because they fear Tom Cruise's reaction to their rumored relationship?
Katie and Jamie's low-profile relationship has sparked more rumors just recently when news broke about their alleged engagement. While several publications already denied that a secret wedding is slated in Spring, many are also speculating that the couple's decision to stay quiet has something to do with Katie's ex-husband.
For one, not only is Katie afraid of what Tom can do to hurt their blossoming romance, but apparently even Jamie doesn't want to deal with the actor's crazy side. "Jamie loves Katie so much and he prides himself on keeping his relationship with her private," a source told Hollywood Life.
"That said, if and when he does go there and put a ring on her finger, he's not going to do it publicly. The last thing he wants is Tom going all 'Collateral' on him. Jamie doesn't know Tom's crazy side and he likes to keep it that way. He's heard war stories from Katie about what it's like to be his bad side and he doesn't want that drama."
Speculations are rife that Tom is not really happy with her ex-wife's new relationship. Sources are claiming that this has allegedly left Katie scared to publicize her romance to Jamie as the "Mission Impossible" actor do something to get custody of their daughter Suri.
"That may be the reason Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx kept their relationship a secret," Movie News Guide reported. "Although the news about the two tying the knot has been making the round, the couple is being very cautious as to what leaks out in the media."
"Ever since Cruise lost his daughter's custody in a bitter battle in 2012, special CIA-like detectives are watching both Suri and Holmes," the article added.
