Justin Bieber may not be in favor of his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez being in a new relationship anytime soon, HollywoodLife.com reported on Tuesday.
Bieber, 22 and Gomez, 23, may not be an item anymore after their on-again off-again roller coaster of a dating period, but it seems that the then-couple are both having a hard time trying to move on from each other, given the fact that they both have not been in any long-term relationships ever since their break up.
HollywoodLife.com exclusively learned that Bieber "never wanted to hurt her" and admitted that he would have a hard time seeing Gomez getting cozy with a brand new man. "Justin feels awful that Selena thinks relationships are hard after they dated. He never, ever wanted to hurt her or make her have a bad taste in her mouth about future relationships because of their own ups and downs," an insider exclusively told HollywoodLife.com.
"On one hand, the thought of seeing Selena in a serious relationship with someone else would definitely be hard to swallow. But on the other hand, he wants her to be happy. He hopes she can forgive him for past hurts and not let all that old drama stifle her love life or more importantly her self-esteem," the source added.
It has also been reported by HollywoodLife.com that after her relationship with the "What Do You Mean" singer, Gomez thinks that true love isn't in the cards for her.
"Selena has seen some writing on the wall that her having a relationship in the future is going to be very, very hard. She has joked so much to friends that she is going to be single forever that some friends are actually believing it," a source exclusively told the publication.
"She is very apprehensive in trying something new or being set up because she believes it is doomed to fail from the start for a plethora of reasons. She covers those emotions up though by always working, she now wants to be continuously busywhether it is with her tour or doing films. It gives her an excuse to not stress on meeting a guy."
