The upcoming "Scandal" season 5 episode 14 will be an episode packed with cons and deceits. And as the presidential campaign looms, fans can expect some jaw-dropping twists that will make you think whose motives are true and whose motives are suspicious.
Last week's episode was quite interesting. As a matter of fact, the final minutes of the episode showed Olivia witnessing the celebratory toast of Jake and Vanessa's engagement when she went to Rowan's for dinner. What seems to be awkward on the situation was the fact that Jake had a "late-night booty call" earlier in the series.
With the engagement on the way, the biggest question would be: Is Jake really engaged? Aside from that, last week's episode also ignited burning questions about Jake's true intentions.
"It seems to be, right? They're popping champagne and telling Liv, and Rowan's part of it," Scott Foley, the actor who plays the role of Jake, said during an interview with TV Guide. "Jake has popped the question and maybe has found the woman for him. What do you think about that?"
When asked about if everything is just part of his long con, Foley admitted that it appears to be that way. But Foley also stressed that he's making a guess.
"It kind of seems that way, like she came out of nowhere," he explained. "Olivia's following him. She's not quite sure why and she puts everybody on him. Then Jake shows up in her bedroom and talks about this girl being perfect and her lineage. But to be honest with you, your guess is as good as mine!"
Aside from Jake's true motives, "Scandal" season 5 episode 14 titled, "I See You," will also show how Olivia abandoned the Gladiators to spy on her ex-lover Jake. According to Breathecast, the team will handling things all by themselves.
Speaking of motives, Abby, who is no longer a gladiator, will be having suspicions towards Cyrus' real intentions. In fact, Design & Trend revealed that Cyrus was almost taken by surprise when Abby showed him a photo taken from the funeral of Gov. Vargas' daughter.
Elsewhere, the ongoing presidential campaigns will make candidates Susan Ross and Mellie Grant feel more pressured. But Vine Report noted that Mellie is more pressured especially right after her ex-husband President Fitzgerald Grant endorsed Susan instead of her.
