There are only six episodes left before "The Good Wife" season 7 finale and some spoilers hinted the possibility of reunions. As a matter of fact, there are reports claiming that Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and Will (Josh Charles) will return on the show's last hoorah on television.
The upcoming "The Good Wife" season 7 finale will definitely be an emotional sendoff. And in less than three months, fans of the hit CBS political drama will finally bid farewell to the characters of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and Cary Agos (Matt Cszuchry).
While the current season of "The Good Wife" depicts a bit of romance as Alicia gets some quality time with Jason, Peter will possibly get involved in another mess. There are also rumors claiming that fans will see the return of Kalinda and Will in a flashback, International Business Times hinted.
"The Good Wife" co-creator Michelle King, however, said that there will be no Kalinda or Will in the final episodes of the series. In fact, those ideas were never tackled by the creators.
"No, that's not our expectation," Michelle King said, as per TVLine. "Kalinda went off deliberately to disappear - and we're honoring that choice. It wouldn't make sense for [Kalinda] to come back."
As for Will, his comeback is quite a problem since he's already dead. Aside from squashing the possibility of Kalinda and Will's return, co-creator Robert King also revealed that there will be no time jump in the season finale.
"We're not gonna do that," Robert said. "The show was always built on the continuity of the moment."
What will be explored in "The Good Wife" season 7 are the fates of Alicia's personal life as well as her professional prospects. And as for the upcoming episode 17 this week, Alicia and Jason's romantic tryst will be interrupted as Grace faces a plagiarism accusation for her college entrance essay.
"Diane, Cary and Lucca defend the grieving father of a shooting victim in a defamation suit over a billboard he put up describing a gun store owner as a murderer," the upcoming episode synopsis read, as per TV Guide. "Meanwhile, Alicia and Jason's romantic rendezvous is interrupted when Alicia learns that Grace is being accused of plagiarizing her college entrance essay.
Meanwhile, "The Good Wife" season 7 episode 17 titled, "Shoot," will air on Sunday, Mar. 20 at 9 p.m. on CBS while the season finale episode will premiere on May 8, USA Today revealed.
