‘Shokugeki No Soma’ Manga Chapter 159 Spoilers: Ryo’s Secrets Revealed? Anime Season 2 To Air This Summer?

"Shokugeki no Soma" manga chapter 159 may finally reveal Ryo's secrets. It will also show how much he has evolved as a chef.

YHM reported that "Shokugeki no Soma" manga chapter 158 has already been posted online. Fans can read the latest installment via Manga Stream or Manga Fox.

Chapter 158 featured the continuation of the shokugeki between Ryo of Cutting Edge Research Society and Rentaro of Central Division. The two chefs have already submitted their salmon dishes to the judges.

"Shokugeki no Soma" manga chapter 159 will reportedly reveal the secret behind Ryo's cooking. The next installment will most likely explain the "green layer" in his recipe which has preserved the salmon as it combined perfectly with the other ingredients.

"I don't think central is going to win," Redditor Tomhap wrote. "This chapter is going to be all about crushing central's way of thinking. Besides Kurokiba is one of the three best cooks from the cast of protagonists, he's not going to lose to some member of the survivor's purge that's not even in the elite 10."

Another reader commented on Manga Helpers that the green layer in Ryo's recipe could be kelp. "It's what is used to make dashi soup stock which is rich in umami taste," JonDou noted. "Kelp is edible and has a pleasant taste of the sea. Salmon's strong, fishy flavor could meld well with kelp and infuse the rice with the umami taste of salmon-dashi."

Meanwhile, "Shokugeki no Soma" anime season 2 will air this summer. According to Crunchyroll, the announcement was made during the "Shokugeki! Maihama Festival" event held last Feb. 28, 2016 at the Maihama Amphitheater in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan.

It is entitled "Shokugeki no Soma: The Second Serving." The principal cast of the series will reprise their roles.

The Inquisitr noted that "Shokugeki no Soma" anime season 2 is believed to be aired on Crunchyroll. The first season was aired through the website in Japan.
