Are you ready to hear your favorite bands play for one whole day?
Music fans of alternative rock and pop-punk will once again converge into one arena, as the Vans Warped Tour has been officially confirmed. Syracuse presents Lakeview Amphitheater as this year's summer venue.
The Vans Warped Tour has been traveling around the United States, touring its rock rhythms since 1995. On some occasions, it has also toured in Canada. It has been considered to be the largest traveling music festival in the United States with Vans (the popular skateboard shoe manufacturer) as it's main sponsor. The tour was initially an eclectic alternative rock festival but then shifted its focus to punk rock. Then, as the years go by, it started to include ska, skate punk, street punk, hardcore and the like. Both kids and parents are welcome but minors may need to be accompanied by an adult.
The music festival also plans to offer a "Rally Bus" for traveling to the Lakeview Amphitheater. Rally Bus points are at Baldwinsville, Utica, Fulton, Oswego, Rochester, Verona, Weedsport and other nearby cities. The second Vans Warped Tour Concert venue will be at Darien Lake.
This year, big names are hitting the line up. Bands such as We the Kings, Falling in Reverse, Four Year Strong, Yellowcard, Reel Big Fish, Every Time I Die, Mayday Parade, Sleeping with Sirens, The Maine, The Summer Set and I See Stars are allegedly ready for your listening and viewing pleasure. There could be more bands being added but the website has not confirmed the final roster.
The doors will be opened on Jul. 7, 2016 starting at 11:00 AM. It's expected to wrap up around 9:00 PM.
Tickets are already on sale starting at $29 for early-birdies. You can check Ticketmaster and Live Nation for more information.
