WantThe Ideal Job: Look In The Mirror And Find Out

The recession has blown away many American workers. Most have been struggling to make ends meet, put food on the table or restart their career. Others have seen it as a time to re-evaluate their life and think of that dream job they always wanted. But it is still a fragile time to say there is stability while America is still healing from the industry's collapse.

Previously, JobsNHire reported that 2016 is the year the job market has been waiting for after the 2008 recession. Which is why Forbes reported that this year, Americans should stop looking in the usual places.

Instead, look in the mirror and find out what you should do and determine what your ideal job is. That's the route Gem Barton, author of "Don't Get a Job...Make a Job: How To Make It As A Creative Graduate," suggests. This British college professor says that people shouldn't make the mistake that there is nothing to learn if you aren't in it.

Barton's book houses a series of different experiences from different people who decided to do things on their own terms. These people were able to make their own jobs and businesses. Like most, they had to start at the bottom and came out successful. Some have noted that the book dictates that now is the time where jobs right now gives the illusion of security. The idea of leaving your corporate job may be scary but taking the plunge may make you feel better.

A few tips that can get you started? Make a fake resume about your future self. Let your imagination run with your ambition. You will find out your definition of success and what you want to do or not do.
