Three sisters were kicked out from a mall in Philadelphia this Sunday because they refused to remove profanity clothing that symbolized their mourning for their recently lost mother.
The hats they wore said, "F*** Cancer". Zakia Clark, Tasha Clark, and their sister Makia Underwood expressed that the f-bomb is the only word that could express their feeling towards cancer, but the security stopped them from purchasing funeral dresses at the King of Prussia Mall.
The mother of the three North Philadephian women had passed away at the age of 51 after battling breast cancer for 4 years. She had passed away last Tuesday.
The security guard was reported to have said, "You know what? Shut your mouth. That was your cue to stop shopping," when Zakia Clark told him that she wanted to stay. She commented that the mall itself sells profane clothing in stores like Urban Outfitters.
The mall later issued a statement saying that although the manager understands and can sympathize with the three sisters going through this situation, but the mall is a family place and profanity cannot be tolerated. The mall then apologized and offered to donate to any cancer charity of the three sisters' choice.
