Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop skincare products are developed in a special way. The company shared their secrets in a blog post.
Last month, Slate reported that one of Goop's newsletter shared a new trend in the world of luxury beauty. Apparently, beauty products are now being infused with energy derived from music, chants as well as blessings.
Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop blog post noted three companies already practice nurturing their products with different energies. Ila has "healing chants" that they give their salts and scrubs. De Mamiel's organic oils and other skincare products are "treated to extensive prayer, meditation, and music before ever appearing on shelves."
"People think it's hippie hoo-ha," Annee de Mamiel said. "I don't usually talk about it. But people try the product, and they feel something, and they're curious why they feel it."
De Mamiel shared how they maximize and increase the energy of their products. "We put crystals around the oils," she shared.
"As we macerate the herbs, we play music. As we add the base oils, we use more music, crystals, and meditation. Then when we add the flower essences, they sit out with music, too."
Usually, the process takes about six to eight weeks. De Mamiel blends the oil, similar to how perfumes are made.
Australian company Sodashi's employees meditate on their skincare as a group. "We want to ensure that the energy going into making the product is the best it can be," founder Megan Larsen said.
"I don't like to wave a flag about it," De Mamiel added. "We are emotional, physical, and chemical beings-it's about having the oils be the most vital they can be. People sense and appreciate it, whether they know why or not."
Gwyneth Paltrow has previously shared the recipe of her morning smoothie. The total cost of the ingredients amount to more than $223.
The smoothie includes normal ingredients such as milk, almond butter, Himalayan sea salt and coconut oil. However, it also needs a teaspoon of maca, ashwagandha, ho shou wu and cordyceps as well as one's moondust of choice.
