Nicki Minaj, the unconventional rapper, had a face-to-face with the Hot 97 DJ, to explain what the two were thinking when the spark broke out between the two enemies.
The feud began when the Hot 97 DJ commented on Nicki Minaj's song called "Starships," released on Valentines day 2012. He named it a "bullsh*t" song and criticized it saying that it's not hip hop, it was pop.
"I know there are chicks here waiting to hear some 'Starships'. I'm not talking to y'all right now. F**k that bullsh*t. I am here to talk about real hip hop sh*t," said the DJ, starting the feud.
"I don't know your resume. I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart. I just found you annoying. To me it was like, who are you? You don't have enough of a resume to make those comments," she defended herself in the interview.
But Minaj also commented: "it's water under the bridge. I mean, it's so long ago. I can't even act like I care anymore, but I appreciate you guys having me."
Minaj had pulled out of the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert soon after the insults, triggering loud disagreements from fans, who blamed Rosenberg for his comments.
However, during the interview, she says, "In hindsight... I should've just did the show."
Needless to say, the two did not become best friends during the interview, but the feud has been settled between the two enemies.
